Good Dog! Coaching & Pet Care is looking for :
Experienced Dog Trainers with a minimum of 1 year experience as a professional dog trainer who enjoy working with clients and their dogs but do not enjoy running a business or hunting for clients.
We provide Private In Home Dog Training lessons and Board & Train Programs for clients needing basic obedience training as well as behavioral issues training.
Applicants should be willing to work with all breeds and issues.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for providing training and behavioral guidance to dogs of all breeds and sizes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with animals and make a positive impact on their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate dogs' temperaments, behaviors, and training needs
- Develop personalized training plans based on each dog's unique requirements
- Teach basic commands such as sit, down, heel, come, out, kennel, threshold training etc
- Address specific behavioral issues such as biting, aggression, fear, over-arousal, reactive behaviors, separation anxiety, or excessive barking, jumping, digging, counter surfing, leash pulling etc
- Utilize balanced training techniques to encourage desired behaviors
- Monitor dogs' progress and adjust training methods as needed
- Educate dog owners on effective training techniques and provide ongoing support
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and client information
- Maintain clean environments both inside and out, kennels, training room, outdoor areas etc
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dog behavior, training principles
- Experience using various training tools including but not limited to clickers, slip leads, prong collars, muzzles, remote collars, dominant dog collars, long lines, martingales, etc.
- Experience in pet sitting, animal care, or dog handling and remote collar training is preferred
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with dog owners
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals
- Ability to lift heavy objects (e.g., dog crates) as needed
- Knowledge of pet grooming or veterinary procedures is a plus
- Equine or veterinary technician experience is beneficial
