We are a full-service veterinary hospital, specializing in wellness and preventive care while also seeing emergency cases. Qualifications

  • Demonstrates the ability to show empathy toward clients and treat dogs with respect and compassion. Has a strong commitment to outstanding service.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead and manage a team with a humble heart.
  • Ability to stay on task and work energetically for the entire shift, while helping team increase efficiency, technical skills, and medical knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to perform veterinary medical procedures (e.g., collect samples, administer vaccines).
  • Clear understanding of anesthesia monitoring, surgical/dental procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical records and to create treatment plans for all products and services.
  • Three years recent experience in a veterinary practice.

Highly Preferred

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
  • Computer skills; familiar with EVet/Pulse practice software, Google documents and spreadsheets
  • Five years’ recent experience in a veterinary practice, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Compensation ranges depending on previous medical knowledge and technical skills.

Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Multi-task, respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, directing others through necessary tasks.
  • Follow the exam room timeline and other established procedures to assist veterinarians with examinations.
  • Maintains inventory on all surgical and laboratory supplies.
  • Knowledge of the hospital’s programs, products, and services.
  • Discuss treatment plans and be able to communicate the importance and value of recommended items.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the medical status of their dogs. Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Maintain all medical and diagnostic equipment in treatment areas.
  • Oversees completion of technician and assistant daily tasks.
  • Oversees chart audits for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintains knowledge of federal and state animal-health laws and regulations, including OSHA. Ensures that the hospital and its team members are in compliance with regulations.
  • Discusses disciplinary actions when needed.

We are at a very exciting point in the growth of Good Dog Veterinary Care! In the past 5 years, Dr. Patrick Singletary and Natalie Singletary have grown the company from a 1 DVM to a 15 DVM practice. We opened Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb in 2019. Then, we opened our second location in Smyrna in June 2023. Our third location in East Cobb also opened in mid 2024. To support our plans for growth and expansion we are actively recruiting talented candidates for all positions including Veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Customer Service Representatives, and Kennel Assistants.
