Exhibition Kitchen Dishwasher/Prep Cook Contractor
Job Description
The Dishwasher/Prep Cook is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. They are also responsible for prep-related tasks as deemed necessary by the culinary team. By keeping a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, they provide support to the cooks and help create a positive atmosphere to work leading to a better culinary experience for our entire Ohana. The Dishwasher/Prep Cook reports to the Account Manager, with a dotted line to the kitchen Head Chef.
Dishwasher/Prep Cook Job Duties:
● Overall cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and surrounding areas
● Cleaning dishes, pots, and equipment
● Removing trash Receiving, dating, and organizing incoming product
● Stocking paper supplies Following the prep list created by Chefs
● Performing regularly scheduled maintenance/cleaning of equipment
● Adhere to local health department standards
Dishwasher/Prep Cook Skills and Qualifications:
● Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience
● Extensive knowledge of food safety and food handling requirements
● Ability to work/multitask in an efficient manner
● Flexibility of working hours for events At
● Attention to detail
● Basic knife skills
● Maintaining a first in, first out, or FIFO policy
● Strong verbal communication skills
● Must be able to work standing up for hours at a time
● Must be able to lift 50 pounds and carry it at least 20 feet
● Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions
