Job Title: Produce Clerk
The Produce Clerk cleans, trims, packages, processes, rotates and stocks produce. Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleans, trims, packages, prices, rotates and stocks produce department products.
• Assists customers with product selection, shares product knowledge and makes recommendations based on customer needs.
• Becomes familiar with products in the department, including labeling, recommended uses, and vendor/supplier information.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization and rotation of all areas, products and supplies.
• Complies with all company organic standards.

Requirements:

• Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience preferred.
• Basic math and computation skills required.
• Skills to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English.

Physical Demands:

This position works at a Heavy level, requiring frequent standing and walking throughout the shift. Sitting is seldom required, but occasionally may involve climbing stairs, using step stools and ladders. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling are also required.
