PREPARED FOODS MANAGER
Good Foods is seeking to fill our Prepared Foods Manager position. This position will oversee the operations of the Kitchen, Café and Bakery Departments. The Prepared Foods Manager is responsible for upholding, developing and implementing effective and efficient Deli wide operational systems and will be involved with hiring, training and supervision of staff. This position will work directly with the General Manager to establish budgets, goals and other plans for the Prepared Foods Departments. Candidates must demonstrate excellent customer service, possess leadership abilities to motivate and maintain staff, have proven sales performance and strong communication skills. The Prepared Foods Manger must be dependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties
- Supervising and managing staff: creating schedules, training, completing performance reviews and executing coaching toward positive outcomes and performance management.
- Collaborating with the Store Manager to create budgets for each department, meeting goals for sales, labor, purchases and margin.
- Creating Menus and establishing recipes for hot bar, grab & go, holidays, monthly café specials and event.
- Ensuring compliance with local Health Department regulations

Experience
- Minimum 5 years of food service experience
- Minimum 3 years previous supervisory experience--hiring, training, evaluating, directing
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, including both FOH and BOH oversight.
- Minimum 3 years of catering experience preferred
- Prefer prior knowledge of natural, organic, vegan, vegetarian and local foods.
- Excellent writing/communication skills
- Demonstrate understanding of financial statements
- Moderate computer skills
Starting Wage:
$39,500 - $50,000 / annually
