Job description
We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to join our team as an On-Call Flex Officer. In this role, you will work at various sites depending on the needs of the business. The hours are flexible and can vary, meaning there is no set shift schedule. You will be responsible for providing support across different locations and ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized individuals.
- Monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
- Enforce property rules and regulations to ensure the safety and security of personnel and visitors.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities.
- Assist in emergency situations, such as evacuations, medical emergencies, and fire alarms.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Manager or Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
- Valid security officer license or certification as required by state or local regulations.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
- Excellent observation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a background check, medical screening, and drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to potentially stressful or dangerous situations.
