Job Overview:
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the security operations of the facility, ensuring the safety and protection of property, personnel, and visitors. This role involves supervising security staff, monitoring security systems, and implementing security protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a thorough knowledge of security procedures, and the ability to manage incidents effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Security Team: Oversee daily operations of security personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Monitor Security Operations: Ensure all security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.) are functioning effectively and handle any equipment issues.
- Incident Management: Respond to security incidents and emergencies, conduct investigations, and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Access Control: Manage and monitor access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
- Enforce Policies: Ensure compliance with all security procedures and company policies.
- Training & Development: Train security personnel on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and company policies.
- Liaise with Law Enforcement: Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies during incidents requiring their involvement.
- Safety Audits: Conduct routine security audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements to security systems.
- Customer Service: Address concerns and provide assistance to employees and visitors as needed, maintaining a positive security presence.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage reports, logs, and records related to security activities and personnel management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years of experience in security, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; security certifications (such as CPP or PSP) are a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficient in using security systems (CCTV, access control).
- Basic computer skills for report writing and documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods; ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
