Good Health Psychiatric Services P.C. is seeking a dedicated and highly organized individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant/Patient coordinator This position requires maintaining a comfortable, orderly, safe, and clean environment for our practice, while providing a high level of support and assistance to our valued patients. This is On-site role.
Candidate Responsibilities:
-Patient Communication: Ensure prompt and efficient handling of patient phone calls, including scheduling, appointment confirmations, office inquiries, and triaging calls appropriately. Respond to patient inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
-Appointment Scheduling: Manage patient appointments efficiently, using our scheduling system. Coordinate with patients to find suitable appointment times, while considering their needs and availability. Confirm upcoming appointments by calling patients, maintaining an organized schedule.
-Administrative Tasks: Answer incoming phone calls, initiate patient payment processing and demographic collection, manage office emails and faxes, and maintain accurate records. Ensure confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations at all times.
-Provider Support: Collaborate closely with the assigned healthcare provider, offering comprehensive support to ensure the smooth operation of their duties. This includes assisting with patient documentation, organizing and preparing medical records, and facilitating the provider's schedule to optimize patient care.
- Assist in administering Spravato treatments by capturing patient vitals, providing clear instructions, and preparing the treatment room to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical practice or related healthcare setting.
- Associate degree or higher education preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in healthcare administration or a related field.
Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and managing patient information.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with scheduling software, email platforms, and remote collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while also being a team player and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
