The Opportunity
Good Inside is looking for a Backend Engineer to help power our next phase of growth.
As a Backend Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing scalable backend systems and infrastructure that support our rapidly growing platform. From building services that power innovative product features to creating tools that enhance engineering efficiency, this role offers the chance to work on exciting, impactful projects that directly align with Good Inside's mission to empower parents.

This role reports to the Engineering Manager, and is a hybrid role with three days a week onsite at our office in Midtown Manhattan.
What You'll Own
- Backend Service Development : Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems to power innovative product features and ensure seamless user experiences.
- New Content Management System : At Good Inside, our core competency is providing the resources that parents need when they need them. This role will be responsible for building the new system we will use to create, update, and personalize articles, scripts, videos, etc. for parents around the globe.
- Platform Efficiency : Identify and implement solutions that enhance engineering efficiency, including improving release processes, observability, and developer tools.
- Collaboration : Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional features that align with company goals.
- Best Practices : Write clear, maintainable code and documentation while contributing to architectural decisions that ensure a robust, future-proof platform.
