Position Summary
A part-time Drug Testing Technician (male) is responsible for administering drug tests and the delivery of test results and technical assistance to company staff and governmental agencies. Frequency of testing determined by contract referral, averages about five random tests per week.
Due to the observed nature of the urinalysis drug testing, the company must be gender specific in its hiring. Female technicians may only work with female clients, male technicians with male clients.
Essential Functions
· Administers multiple specimens such as urine, saliva, sweat, breath, and hair per protocol and chain of custody procedures. Will train on specific tests.
· Fills out and files required documentation in timely manner as per contract requirements.
· Travel required to test sites or performed in office.
· This is a customer service-based position, which is non-medical. Random drug tests must be completed weekly according to contract requirements.
Basic Qualifications
· High School diploma or GED required.
· Able to pass all background checks.
· Strong verbal and communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ongoing trainings required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
· Apply policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Consistently perform required number of drug tests per week and complete computer data entry as per contract requirements.
· Work within a team structure.
· Define problems, collect, and analyze data, and determine valid solutions.
· Recognize and meet needs of customer/end user.
· Maintain focus and perform required duties while interacting with disagreeable customers/end users.
· Bend, stoop, lift objects up to 10lbs., and maintain mobility necessary to perform minimum functions associated with the position.
· This is a customer service-based position, which is non-medical.
Compensation
Compensation is paid per test on a bi-weekly basis.
