About the Role
As an optician at Good Life Eyecare, you’ll do more than fit frames — you’ll help families make confident decisions about their vision. Our patients aren’t just eyes on a chart. They’re neighbors, teachers, kids, and grandparents who want to live fully and see clearly.
You’ll be a key part of our Omaha team, known for its small-town hospitality and high-quality care. From helping someone find frames that feel like them to educating a parent on their child’s lens options, you’ll help patients feel understood, equipped, and cared for.
What You’ll Do
- Interpret optical prescriptions written by our doctors
- Guide patients in choosing lenses, frames, and styles that fit their lifestyle and personality
- Take precise facial measurements for proper fit and positioning
- Perform adjustments and repairs to spectacles
- Manage frame inventory and product ordering
- Place and track orders for glasses and contact lenses
- Verify incoming orders meet specifications
- Keep our optical dispensary organized and welcoming
- Help submit insurance claims and support the front desk when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as an optician preferred but not required — we’re willing to train the right person
- Familiarity with EHR systems a plus
- Basic knowledge of billing and coding helpful
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A mindset of generosity, growth, and genuine care
