Overview of Role :
The Plant and Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, attractive, and orderly condition. The director will ensure the facility is in good repair and free from safety hazards, including issues related to electrical, plumbing, ventilation, heating, and cooling systems. This role will also ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, fire codes, and local, state, and federal building codes.
Essential Job Functions :
- Oversees the activities of housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance personnel to ensure the center is clean, sanitary, and in good repair.
- Manage the facility's safety and operational standards, addressing hazards in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations, as well as all local, state, and federal building codes.
- Oversee the provision of quality laundry services.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facility is in proper working condition and address any maintenance issues.
- Develop and implement maintenance and operational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support the overall operational efficiency of the facility.
- Assist with budgeting and managing operational costs for plant and maintenance activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned that are necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the facility.
Prior leadership expereinced prefered, with 2-5 years of maintenance expereince. Fluent with diffrent computer applications / technology required. Associates degree or higher in a related mechanical field.
