We are looking for an Assistant Farm Manager to help us advance our vision by supporting farm development, production, and sustainability through key systems and hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Farm Management: Participate in regenerative production systems and assist with managing nursery and post-harvest processes alongside Farm Business Manager.
- Plant Nursery: Seed vegetable flats, set up irrigation, assess plant health, and organize records in our farm management software.
- Post-Harvest: Develop workflows for wash/pack station, ensure produce is handled according to food safety protocols, and sort/grade for top-quality produce.
- Field Production: Help with tasks like bed prep, transplanting, pest control, irrigation, and operating equipment like the farm’s Bobcat compact tractor.
- Harvest: Harvest produce multiple times a week and manage harvest data through our farm management system.
- Maintenance & Development: Contribute to farm infrastructure, install season extension systems, plant trees, and maintain growing areas.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with customers, organize farm tours, and participate in community events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Proven experience in agriculture, regenerative farming, and general farm maintenance.
- Knowledge: Commitment to learning and applying regenerative agricultural practices.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
- Skills: Excellent communication, public speaking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills. Comfortable representing the farm to the public and engaging with diverse communities.
- Driver’s License: A valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required.
Work Conditions & Schedule:
- Full-time position, with seasonal hours that fluctuate (40-50 hours per week from March - November and approx. 30 hours per week from December - February).
- Weekend work and farmers market participation sometimes required during peak months.
- Physical work in outdoor conditions, including walking, bending, lifting, and working long hours on your feet.
