Good Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning, Inc established in 1949, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Drafter to join our growing team of over 60 employees. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, knowledgeable, honest, and friendly service to our extensive base of residential and commercial customers. This role serves as a key member of our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare layout sketches for Plumbing and HVAC installation projects
- Communicate with all disciplines to insure well-executed delivery of project documents
- Coordinate with managers to define scopes of work, changes, and progress through completion of work
- Prepare studies, calculations, reports, construction specifications, and other supporting documentation
- Clearly convey information to internal clients.
- Review project instructions and requirements to offer possible redesign, substitution of materials, or rearrangement of systems for cost saving measures.
- Provide quality control reviews by researching code, design, and detailed project specific requirements to ensure systems conform to engineering design and client requirements
- Maintain frequent communication with supervisor regarding job/project work and cost status.
Knowledge, Skills , And Abilities
- Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently or collaboratively
- Self- motivated with a positive attitude
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)/ Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in AutoCAD (minimum 2 years- experience)
- Understanding of load and energy modeling calculations (Knowledge of Right-Suite Universal preferred)
- Plumbing background is also a plus
