Job Summary:
Central Processing Technician will be trained in processing, storing, and distributing medical and surgical supplies and equipment.

Professional Standards
- Follow manufacturers recommendations and instructions for use with regards to cleaning and sterilization (1 & 4).
- Follow all guidelines for quality assurance monitoring.
- Adhere to evidence-based best practices.
- Monitor and maintain the proper environment in the department including temperature, humidity and traffic control.
- Adhere to proper attire including PPE.
- Acquire and update professional education.
- Actively participate in the Unit Base Council
- Maintains high patient and family satisfaction by providing care that is based upon individual needs.
- Provides direction and collaborates with team members to support a healthy work environment.
- Takes responsibility for FTE hours, documentation, and maintaining unit budget.
Job Specifications:
- Education: High school education
- Certification: Certification in sterile processing or Scrub Technician preferred
- Experience: Prefer previous hospital or healthcare experience but not required. Basic computer skills.
- Requirement: must be in a 30 minute call radius.
