Job Summary and Qualifications The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist delivers exceptional patient-focused care by providing clinical services in a multidisciplinary team focused on psychodynamic therapy, group psychotherapy, and psycho-education to patients admitted into the Outpatient Programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process groups, focused in skills / resilience training and evidence-based treatment.
Develop treatment plans and attends treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams.
Assess environment and patients safety status and reports / responds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patients condition.
Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need :
Basic Cardiac Life Support
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
Masters Degree - Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work- REQUIRED
3 years of therapeutic experience - Strongly Preferred
Psychotherapy experience - REQUIRED
Advanced Licensure in the state of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist) - REQUIRED
