Part-Time Thrift Store Associate
Reports To:
Thrift Store and Donation Center Manager
Job Overview:
The associate is responsible for assisting in the daily workload of each area of the thrift store. This position will be utilized and cross-trained for all aspects of the thrift store. Daily routines or areas of operation may change based on the need of the organization and the thrift store itself.
Responsibilities and Duties: (include but not limited to the following)
· Accepting, sorting, and pricing donations
· Help facilitate the flow of donations from the bay to the thrift store for purchase
· Helping maintain a clean and well organized shopping environment for customers
· Engaging with customers and providing customer service to all customers
· Operating a cash register during peak times, lunch breaks, or as needed based on the flow of customer traffic.
· Assisting customers with loading of larger items
Qualifications:
· Understanding of the overall mission of Good Samaritan Ministries and ability to align with that mission, as well as maintain a high moral character in the community and amongst other staff members.
· Time Management and ability to work with minimal supervision to complete daily tasks
· Ability to lift at least 50lbs
· Ability to be on your feet for several hours a day with constant movement
· Ability to adapt to an environment with constant changes to daily operational task loads
· Open availability within the operating hours of the thrift store
· Ability to multitask
Ability to commit to working every other Saturday
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 per hour
