Job Summary:
Our team strives to improve the quality of life for our residents by delivering engaging activities and interventions on an individual and group basis. We administer a monthly activity calendar, soliciting input from residents and ensuring all state-required activities are well-planned and organized. Our goal is to maintain dignity and identity while supporting optimal functioning.
Responsibilities:
We provide one-on-one and group activities that cater to diverse interests and abilities. This includes music, crafts, and spiritual activities. Additionally, we assist with simple nursing procedures, transport residents, and complete documentation for Minimum Data Sets (MDS) and EPIC systems. Our team members demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications:
We seek a high school graduate or equivalent with experience in social services or creative activities. Geriatric experience is preferred, along with knowledge of working with diverse resident demographics. A Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) certification or enrollment in a healthcare program is desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and drivers must meet specific requirements.
