Job Description
As a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Good Samaritan Society, you will have the opportunity to work with clients of all ages with various speech problems and swallowing disorders. Your primary responsibilities will include administering speech and language evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing speech and language services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer speech and language evaluations, tests or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments for clients
- Assess clients with various speech, language, cognitive or swallowing problems and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical diagnoses
- Provide speech and language services to clients, monitor disease progression and adjust treatments accordingly
- Ensure all speech and language related standards, policies, protocols and quality requirements are met
Requirements
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- Licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) or currently working on Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
