The Good Samaritan Society seeks a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
Requirements:
- A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma is preferred.
- A minimum age of 16 is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing is necessary. State certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement is also acceptable.
- CNA training and certification are provided by the facility.
- Yearly department specific competency testing and continuing education credits are required.
