About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caregiver Assistant to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, and feeding. You will also be responsible for monitoring vital signs, documenting resident interactions, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, including nursing staff, doctors, and therapists
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents using proper techniques and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
