The Good Samaritan Society offers an opportunity to work in a long-term care setting, providing high-quality patient-centered care to our residents. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will serve as a caregiver to the resident during scheduled work periods. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident, under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care. You may also participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs
- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces, as needed
