Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our care team, you will provide exceptional resident-centered care and support to our residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance and nursing care to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Assist with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, and provide water and supplements as appropriate.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
