Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
As a Travel CNA, you will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. You will also assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and complete tasks related to food preparation and dining.
In addition, you will aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures if needed, document resident interactions as needed, and communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. You will also collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs, provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational, and participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
