The Good Samaritan Society is seeking to hire a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
This position provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. The role also involves assisting residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as appropriate, and documenting resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Key qualifications for this role include being at least 16 years old, having a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required, and possessing a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position. Additionally, a minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually and maintaining all department specific required certifications.
