Job Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will serve as a caregiver to our residents during their scheduled work period in long term care. This role provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your knowledge of age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plan is essential. You are considered a member of the nursing team and are expected to know and be held accountable for following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.

Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
