Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents during your scheduled shifts in long-term care. As a caregiver, you will deliver resident-centered nursing care and assist with daily living tasks while working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will receive specialized training to address the physical and psychological needs of residents as outlined in their care plans.
Your responsibilities include :
- Providing assistance with essential daily living tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing.
- Gathering and recording vital signs and documenting resident interactions to ensure accurate patient care.
- Offering psychosocial support and personal care tailored to the needs of each resident.
- Facilitating mobility by assisting residents with safe transfers, repositioning, and walking.
- Preparing meals and supporting residents during dining for a positive eating experience.
- Monitoring and communicating changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse.
- Participating in wellness and recreational programs to enhance resident engagement.
