Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The CNA is considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to follow infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use.
The CNA assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment. They also provide range of motion and passive exercises, complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, and create a positive dining experience for the resident.
The CNA aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures if needed, documents resident interactions as needed, and communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
This role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. The candidate must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy.
