Job Summary
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. This opportunity allows you to travel locally and work in various GSS locations, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and flexibility. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support. You will also assist with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as needed, and participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Responsibilities

- Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Participate in wellness and recreational programs and encourage residents to participate.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
- Maintains all department-specific required certifications.
