This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various Good Samaritan Society locations within a 150-mile radius from home, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
The position involves providing assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. The role also requires assisting residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as appropriate, and documenting resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
The ideal candidate will have a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required, and must be at least 16 years old. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred. Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required, with training and certification provided by the facility if necessary.
