The LPN provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. This role requires strong clinical knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
