Job Title: Senior Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:
As a Senior Nursing Assistant, you will serve as an experienced caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your knowledge of age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of the resident is essential for delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
- Satisfactorily completes yearly department-specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
