Job Summary
We are seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to serve as caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. As a NA, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents as per their care plans.
You will consider yourself a member of our nursing team and be expected to know and be held accountable for following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Your duties will include assisting residents with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
You will also assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, and provide range of motion and passive exercises. Additionally, you will complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for our residents. You will assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate, and document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
