Job Summary:
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
Provide basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining/recording vital signs.
Assist residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
Provide range of motion and passive exercises, complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, and create a positive dining experience for residents.
Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required.
Minimum age of 16.
Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing required.
