Job Summary
We are seeking a Part Time - Evenings CNA to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society – Mary Jane Brown long term care center. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicates resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually.
- Maintains all department specific required certifications.
