- Salary Range: $19.00 - $25.50
Job Summary:
The Nursing Assistant serves as caregiver to the resident during scheduled work periods in long-term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The NA delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plans.
Responsibilities:
- Provides basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
- Documents resident interactions as needed and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
