Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide exceptional care to our residents in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
- Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of residents as per care plan.
- Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support.
- Participate in procedures, document resident interactions, and communicate changing conditions and care-related concerns to the charge nurse.
- Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
- Encourage residents to participate in wellness and recreational programs.
Requirements
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
- Maintain a record of continuing education credits for each year.
