Job Summary
This is a PRN opportunity to work as a Culinary Specialist in our kitchen, preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents, staff, and visitors. As a member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to standardized recipes, maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards, and adhering to food safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and menu plans.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, adhering to HACCP guidelines and regulations.
- Operate various kitchen equipment, including mixers, slicers, ovens, and dishwashers.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting, preferably in senior care or hospitality.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
