Job Description
As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for administering the nursing program in a long-term care facility. This includes maintaining standards of resident care, facilitating the optimization of the geriatric care process, and ensuring compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices. You will also be responsible for scheduling staff, conducting employee performance reviews, and providing nursing care to residents as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the nursing program in a long-term care facility
- Maintain standards of resident care
- Facilitate the optimization of the geriatric care process
- Ensure compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Five years of nursing experience required
- Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
