Practical Nurse Position Description
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Practical Nurse to join our team. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to residents of all ages in a long-term care setting.
This role requires an active LPN license and involves working collaboratively with a dynamic team to ensure the health and safety of residents. You will have the opportunity to work with residents of all ages and backgrounds, providing personalized care and support to meet their unique needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians or other licensed healthcare professionals
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary needs
- Contribute to resident assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
