This position offers a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse to travel locally while working in various Good Samaritan Society locations within a 150-mile radius from home address. The successful candidate will provide care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional nursing skills and knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards in their assigned clinical setting. They will care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
The nurse will be responsible for coordinating care, conducting resident assessments, providing education, and implementing various nursing interventions. As a charge nurse, they may delegate tasks to license and unlicensed assistive personnel, promoting safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolving care and service concerns.
Candidates must have a graduate degree from a nationally accredited nursing program, such as Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A bachelor's degree in nursing is also preferred.
