Job Summary
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to work in various locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting. Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public. Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
