**Job Summary**
The Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position requires knowledge of age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs, as well as the ability to follow infection prevention and control policies.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents
- Assist with basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
- Obtain and record vital signs, provide psychosocial support, and other personal care to assigned residents
- Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct transfer techniques and equipment
- Provide range of motion and passive exercises
- Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents
- Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed
**Requirements**
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred. Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
