About This Role
This Nursing Assistant Trainee position is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in healthcare. As a trainee, you will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop your skills and confidence to serve as a caregiver.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic client-centered care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned.
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
- Document client care when appropriate.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED).
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor.
