**Job Summary:** The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to residents during scheduled work periods in long-term care. This role provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
