**Job Summary**
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. The CNA provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
**Responsibilities**
- Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment.
- Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident.
**Requirements**
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
