Job Summary
The Good Samaritan Society seeks a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Canistota. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality resident-centered care, promoting independence, and enhancing the overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to residents, including bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
- Assist with daily living activities, such as obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support
- Participate in transfer techniques and assist with repositioning and walking
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and provide water and supplements as needed
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and concerns
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, providers, and family members
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire date
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
