Our organization has been providing quality care and service to seniors in a Christian environment for over a century. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Nursing Assistant Trainee.
Job Summary:
The Nursing Assistant Trainee is an entry-level position that involves training and education to develop the skills and confidence needed to provide personal care to clients. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the trainee will work alongside a preceptor to learn holistic client-centered care techniques that promote independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, obtaining vital signs, providing psychosocial support, and delivering other personal care as assigned
- Assist clients with meals and snacks and provide water and nutritional supplements as appropriate
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned within non-certified nursing assistant role
- Document client care when appropriate
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Minimum age of 16
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
- When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry
