What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Professional - Long Term Care position at Good Samaritan Society?
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in long term care. As an LPN, you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
- Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
- Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
- Develop a self-care program based on knowledge of resident education principles.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
