About the Role
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at GSS NE Beatrice Ctr in Beatrice, NE. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week with a day shift schedule.
Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist will assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks. The therapist will conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients/patients/residents with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments.
- Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities of clients/patients/residents
- Develop realistic therapy goals and administer appropriate occupational therapy programs
- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
- Provide education to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes
Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist may work with individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders. They will demonstrate documentation in accordance with departmental guidelines and meet all regulatory requirements. The role requires flexibility with variable work schedules/assignments and participation in activities to promote the department and Good Samaritan Society.
Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have:
- An appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
- A license in the state(s) of practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Certification through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) when working at a Sanford Health Facility (not required but preferred for GSS Facilities)
